Elizabeth Williams, one of the researchers, wants 10 mule-deer fawns and 10 white-tailed deer fawns for a collaborative epidemiology of CWD.
Terry Kreeger, Game and Fish Department, the Colorado Division of Wildlife and Williams are conducting the study. Williams says the deer will be used as controls for the study, which is funded by the Department of Defense.
The deer will be brought from Washington, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, South Dakota and Nebraska. The studies are scheduled to be conducted over then next four years.
