Metacam® (meloxicam), 20mg/ml solution for injection for cattle is the only NSAID currently licensed for the treatment of calf diarrhoea when given in conjunction with oral rehydration therapy. Not only does Metacam rapidly restore gut function, but it makes calves feel better quicker so more quickly restoring normal feed and water intake.
Buscopan compositum® is an injectable combination of metamizole, a NSAID and butylscopomine bromide, a spasmolytic agent, for use in cattle, horse and dogs. In cattle, it is indicated for control of diarrhoea, specifically where intestinal spasm is present.
